Campaign day during December Saturday

      Malifaux campaign for December Saturday. It will be 5 games (6 depending on time).

      Players
      1- Chris
      2- Nicholas
      3- Peter
      4- Dimitri
      5- Martin
      6- Nathan
      7- Graham
      8- Bennett

      Hiring Rules:
      -Each player will have 35SS to hire their starting arsenal as per Shifting Loyalties. Must include at least 1 henchman which must be paid for. Arsenal may include a maximum of 1 non-Campaign upgrade which must be attached to a model.
      -Unused SS are converted to Scrip.
      -0SS henchman may be purchased as part of the arsenal, at a cost of 13SS minus their cache if they are taken as a leader.
      -Each player may also select a Bounty at zero cost.

      Masters will be available in game 4 and 5. They cost 10 scrip to hire, and the player must have completed at least one bounty.

      New hire rules, post game sequence and so on as all as per the rules in Shifting Loyalties.

      Game 1 – 25SS, Weekly event: A Lucrative Offer
      You crew has been ordered to the border town of Ampersand on a mission for your master. Rumours have surfaced on an object of immense power somewhere in the vicinity. On the way, an opportunity arises to earn some additional scrip on the side….

      Game 2 – 30SS, Weekly event: Ampersand
      Arriving in Ampersand, you find that you are not the only crew to have heard the rumour. You must fight it out in the town square.

      Game 3 – 35SS, Weekly event: Forbidden Text
      The Ampersand library contains an ancient tome whose arcane knowledge you require.

      Game 4 – 40SS, Weekly event: Ancient Monument
      The forbidden text retrieved shows a map to a hidden site in the Badlands, a site of immense power pre-dating even the Neverborn. Some of Malifaux most powerful masters arrive to claim it for themselves.

      Game 5 – 50SS, Weekly event: The Event
      The ancient power is unleashed, twisting reality, its power coursing through the most powerful of your crew. It ends here.

      The campaign winner will be the one who scores the most VP after all the games have finished.

        I’m definitely interested in joining in. 6 games feels ambitious for a Saturday session, but I enjoyed the shift in dynamic from the last campaign from not having the masters around. Gave some of the other models a chance to shine a little.

                Sounds OK, but just a couple of quick questions after revising the Shifting Loyalties campaign rules-
                Would we be using rulebook schemes/Strategies, or the Gaining grounds ones?
                If we’re using the Gaining Grounds schemes, what happens to the bounties that reference specific schemes(for the record, I’m fine with ‘ignore them’)?

                  We’ll use GG2016 strats and schemes. If you take a bounty that reference a non-GG2016 scheme, well, you’ll have a hard time completing it.

                          In your starting arsenal, you must include at least one henchman as your leader. You have to pay its SS from your starting arsenal. You don’t have to pay for your leader when you hire your crew at the start of a game though, just like normal.

                            Just a quick reminder for you all, the focus of this saturday is to raise money for Cancer Research. The club isn’t charging you to come, and we’ve managed to get a lot of prizes from various wargaming companies. As such we’ll be selling raffle tickets so you have the chance to win prizes.

                            I’d like to suggest that everyone plan on buying at least £5 of raffle tickets, as you’d have spent that much to come anyway! Beyond that please be generous, every single pound raised goes to the charity and you have the chance to win some great prizes

                              Can we have some clarification here? The initial post says to follow the Shifting Loyalties campaign rules, which are that you pay for every model hired from your arsenal, including your leader, and ignoring cache values. Are we using a modified version of these?

                                My bad. You pay for your henchman during the encounter setup phase as per Shifting Loyalties.
